Episode 16: The Burning

Episode #172; 9:16

Our Summary

Jerry's gal answers the phone by saying "it's me", which is totally uncalled for as she is not a "me" like George or Elaine. At the behest of George, Jerry does it to her and she thinks it's a friend of hers, and says that she never told Jerry the tractor story, which remains a mystery until the very end of the episode. George leaves his job on a high note every time, which makes his boss, Kruger, become incredibly ADD and entrusts the company to George basically. Elaine finds out that Puddy is a Jesus freak, that she is going to hell, and then they both find out that they are both going to hell for "having a good time". Finally, Kramer and Mickey act out diseases for medical students to much critical acclaim.

Our Commentary

This hilarious Top 50 episode has so many funny lines that it just misses the Top 25. Hilarious stuff with the whole Jesus going to hell thing, George's high notes, Kruger at his best, and a hilarious scene of Kramer describing his ghonorria. Then we have everyone of my friends not understanding that she got ghonorria from her boyfriend, and not her tractor. Also we have George acting super weird, when JJ insists that he's trying to be funny, trying to go out on a high note, but that is only true a couple of times, as he is simply weird the whole time. Finally, we get a super quoted line at the end of the ep, with too much, too much. Adam - To say that the pumpkin joke is funny is an understatement. That is probably the second funniest line in all of Seinfeld. Kramer and his ghonorria, Mickey and his PCP addictions, and the guy with the sponge left inside of him, bought the farm, and many more. Just a beautiful episode.
